My name is Doris. I am 23 years old and born in Qingdao. I graduated from Hebei University of Science and Technology. My major is English. And I got my bachelor degree after my graduation. I also studied Audit in Hebei Normal University of Science and Technology. I am very interested in English and study very hard on this subject. I had passed TEM-8 and BEC Vantage. I worked in an American company at the beginning of this year. My spoken English was improved a lot by communicating with Americans frequently during that period.
I am very optimistic and easy to get along with. I have many friends. Teamwork spirit is very important in this age. I think if we want to make big achievement， it’s very important to learn how to cooperate with other people. My motto is "characters determine destity"， so I alwarys remind myself to be honest and modest to everyone .

Hi, my name’s Harry, H-a-r-r-y, Harry. It’s such a pleasure for me to introduce myself to you.
I’ll soon graduate from Guangzhou University with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. As a student, my major is International Economics and Trade, I like it a lot, and I’ve got a pretty good academic performance. My English grade ranks NO.2 in the class of 55 students, and my classmates would always like me to give English speeches in class.
For the professional courses I learnt, some impressed me most, like the ones “Marketing” and “International Business Negotiation”, both teachers gave me high compliments in front of class which then encouraged me a lot and I appreciated it by putting more efforts into studying.
Well, for one thing I’m most proud of, is my English performance. I got 100 full marks once in “The University English 4”, and got As in oral tests. Plus that I’m tall and white, many people may say that I’m a foreigner. Well, I was an English DJ in a broadcast station back to high school, and I also worked as an English translator in the Canton Fair once. So here I would like to say that my English ability is fully competent to the position applied.
Besides having a good academic performance, I was actively involved in student activities. First, I was in charge of Class Athletics member of committee. Then I joined the Debate Team, and meanwhile I also joined the New Oriental English Club in our school. For my outgoing personality, I served as Communication Department director in both departments and dedicated my hard work to both teams. During my tenure, I learnt co-working and enjoyed lots of fun there.
Outside the campus I did some practice jobs. I had a two month internship in Shenzhen Glory Trading Cooperation a month ago. I worked as
a sales assistant, I did the inventory check, helped my comates to make the auditing reports, and in spare time I also made phone calls to cell our products. My boss was pleased with my performance and he asked me to recommend my classmates to join our team.
Another internship was in China Unicom Cooperation, Guangzhou Branch. Our job was to promote mobile phone cards to freshmen in South China Normal University. It came out that the activation rate of the released new cards surpassed 90%, and because of that our team was rewarded 1000 yuan by our company.
Lastly, let me tell you a bit of my interests. I recently play table tennis a lot, because I like the feeling that “one strike in a hole”. And I also like swimming, singing karaoke, watching U.S. TV shows and friends gathering. I keep the habit of learning English by reading and practicing, and I enjoy reading foreign books, especially books on Psychology. For example, “The Road Less Travelled”, it tells us to face the problems straightly and solve them at the first place they appear.
I have to say that your company is my ideal company. What’s more, I have great interests in joining your sales department; it’s so like a dream job to me. I am a third year master major in automation at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, P. R. China. With tremendous interest in Industrial
Engineering, I am writing to apply for acceptance into your Ph.D. graduate program.
Education background
In 1995, I entered the Nanjing University of Science & Technology (NUST) -- widely considered one of the China’s best engineering schools. During the following undergraduate study, my academic records kept
distinguished among the whole department. I was granted First Class Prize every semester,In 1999, I got the privilege to enter the graduate program waived of the admission test.
At the period of my graduate study, my overall GPA(3.77/4.0) ranked top 5% in the department. In the second semester, I became teacher assistant that is given to talented and matured students only. This year, I won the Acer Scholarship as the one and only candidate in my department, which is the ultimate accolade for distinguished students endowed by my university. Presently, I am preparing my graduation thesis and trying for the honor of Excellent Graduation Thesis.
Research experience and academic activity
When a sophomore, I joined the Association of AI Enthusiast and began to narrow down my interest for my future research. With the tool of OpenGL and Matlab, I designed a simulation program for transportation scheduling system. It is now widely used by different research groups in NUST. I assumed and fulfilled a sewage analysis & dispose project for Nanjing sewage treatment plant. This was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial product.
In retrospect, I find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory and experience, which has prepared me for the Ph.D. program. My future research interests include: Network Scheduling Problem, Heuristic Algorithm research (especially in GA and Neural network), Supply chain network research, Hybrid system performance analysis with Petri nets and Data Mining.

Things about Me I am Andrea. Perhaps the word “average”can best describe me. I am of average height, average weight and of average complexion. I have a thin face, double-lid eyes and a pointed nose. My hair is black, short and straight. I have never worn my hair long. I look like both my mother and my father, but I have inherited their best parts. I am a teacher, and I like my job. I believe her or his students can sometimes teach a teacher. Actually I have learnt a lot from my own teaching experience and my students. One particularly good thing about being a teacher is that I am learning something new each day and thus making progress each day. This is wonderful. Of course the income is modest, but on the other hand, quite stable. I keep growing all the time. I find great rewards both monetarily and mentally. I have many hobbies: reading books, raising pets, making dresses, etc. I like volleyball very much, but I can’t play it very often, because it is a team sport. It is difficult to get enough people to play volleyball with me. It’s a shame. I derive great pleasure from my hobbies.
Generally speaking, I am open, honest and easy-going. I hate hypocrisy and injustice. Fairness is very important to me. I try to be fair in everything I do. I have great appreciation for physical and spiritual independence. I am a bit disorganized and impatient sometimes. I don’t have many friends, but I do have a few. I have both male and female friends. We do sports together, go shopping together; and we exchange our views and ideas and share happiness and sadness. Of course we help each other if necessary.

，1983年1月24日上午11時(shí)15分出生于山東省無棣縣小泊頭鎮(zhèn)衛(wèi)生院。從小與土地親近，與自然感情之久毋庸置疑。讀書生涯以母親的《中藥學(xué)》和父親的《儲(chǔ)糧害蟲》發(fā)端，與生物學(xué)結(jié)緣也始于此。
接受了正統(tǒng)的十二年中國(guó)基礎(chǔ)教育，十二年寒窗乏善可陳。初中兩次參加中學(xué)生物奧林匹克競(jìng)賽，分別取得省區(qū)一等獎(jiǎng)和特等獎(jiǎng)。高中三年，平心而論只拼了半年，用減肥八千克換了一張總分623的高考成績(jī)單。懷著對(duì)生物學(xué)的一腔熱情，力排眾議報(bào)考了山東大學(xué)生命科學(xué)學(xué)院，并被錄取。
進(jìn)入大學(xué)，發(fā)現(xiàn)理想中之自由開放的象牙塔仍遙不可及，但對(duì)我來說已經(jīng)是“如鰍得泥”。雖然與中學(xué)相比，課程的負(fù)擔(dān)不止增加了倍余，但我更喜歡這種忙碌。基礎(chǔ)課的教學(xué)，應(yīng)該不能算得上理想，我想這是國(guó)內(nèi)多數(shù)大學(xué)的通病。不過，課程本身的吸引力，遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)大于我對(duì)教學(xué)方式的不滿。雖然沒有在拿到全部的優(yōu)秀，但也算是順利通過。英語輕松拿下四級(jí)六級(jí)，也似小馬過河，不是一件異常恐怖的事情。

在學(xué)校，最大的樂土莫過于實(shí)驗(yàn)室，即使基礎(chǔ)實(shí)驗(yàn)成了理工科學(xué)生最為詬病的孱頭。雖然無法完全掌控實(shí)驗(yàn)，但我力爭(zhēng)求變，看到自己的思想被證實(shí)或被否定，實(shí)在是一件樂事。兒時(shí)與土地的親近和十幾年“住院”(live in THE hospital)生活讓我對(duì)實(shí)驗(yàn)操作本身頗有體會(huì)。特別是動(dòng)物實(shí)驗(yàn)，被同學(xué)叫去在扎滿耳孔的兔子耳朵上尋找“立針之地”的往往是我。三年來，十幾門實(shí)驗(yàn)課，門門都是優(yōu)秀，每每成為實(shí)驗(yàn)同伴偷懶的理由，這也是大學(xué)時(shí)光里的一個(gè)美好的回憶。
閑暇之余，背上帳篷和睡袋，深入濟(jì)南南部的山山水水中，雖然沒有云南風(fēng)光旖旎，還是能尋找到一份城市中失落已久的難得清靜。帶上地質(zhì)錘和放大鏡，張夏、山旺，都是好去處。和奧陶紀(jì)、寒武紀(jì)、第四紀(jì)的生靈們打個(gè)招呼。雖然還上升不到分子的水平，也算是對(duì)進(jìn)化的小小研究了。
說到進(jìn)化，2019年的春天，非典疑云籠罩京城之際，我和幾個(gè)朋友受邀到中央電視臺(tái)科教頻道與南京大學(xué)、天津大學(xué)的朋友一起參加關(guān)于恐龍滅絕的話題的討論。我們提出的復(fù)原恐龍生殖生態(tài)模型的觀點(diǎn)得到了著名古生物學(xué)家董枝明和甄朔南的一致肯定。從北京趕回濟(jì)南后五天，非典隔離開始。同樣因?yàn)榉堑洌醒肱_(tái)的節(jié)目錄制陷入停頓，我們的節(jié)目“有幸”被重播四次之多，希望我們的觀點(diǎn)能夠得到更多人的認(rèn)可。
不過，比之討論恐龍滅絕，我更喜歡探討生命的誕生。在這里，進(jìn)化不僅僅是一個(gè)生物學(xué)課題，更是一個(gè)哲學(xué)命題。我對(duì)進(jìn)化生物學(xué)及進(jìn)化基因組學(xué)的認(rèn)識(shí)將在下面的一篇小文中展開，在此就不加贅述了。
