Since I was young I have always had a keen interest in the way that thethings around me work. From marvelling at the telephone to how planes can fly,engineering advances have never failed to captivate me. For this reason, I havealways tried to find out how such things function, and about how they have hadan impact on the society we live in today. Coupled with the fact that I havealways enjoyed the logical and problem-solving processes involved in maths andphysics, I decided several years ago to embark on a career in engineering.
Since then, I have endeavoured to find out as much about engineering aspossible. I researched the great engineers such as Brunel, and discovered thegreat works they had completed. I have attended several engineering conferences,the most recent of which I was selected to speak live on radio about myexperiences. And once I had completed several weeks' worth of work experience, Iwas assured that it was the career that I wanted to pursue.
This summer, I took part in the Nuffield Bursary scheme for a month,working in a team, at Aerogistics Ltd. Our project was to analyse and implementa new system for the distribution of consumable materials to the individualdepartments within the company. We found the current system to be highlyinefficient and after much data gathering and thought, presented our findings tothe senior managers of the company who agreed with our ideas. The last week wasspent starting the implementation of these ideas. I found the experience to behighly challenging, yet rewarding especially as it led to me gaining a GoldCrest Award. I also found it useful as I got to see engineers at work and thedaily problems that they face. I learnt that there is a lot more to being a goodengineer than possessing technical competence, although this is undoubtedlyimportant; team work, communication and leadership skills are vital as well.
I have also recently been selected to complete two placements with armyengineers. One of these placements will focus on the more practical side ofengineering while the other will focus on the skills needed by a professionalengineer focussing on project planning and leadership. I hope to find theexperience useful.
In my spare time I like to play sport and music. In secondary school I wascaptain for the Netball and Football teams, as well as taking part in variousother sports. The experience of this greatly improved my team working abilitiesas well as my fitness. As a keen musician I am working towards my grade 5 theoryand grade 7 practical on cello. I am a member of a Youth Orchestra, and havejust recently completed a tour of Italy. I am also in the school orchestra andhave led several orchestras in the past, before progressing to the LYO.
In school, I am Deputy Head Girl, helping to lead a team of over 40prefects. I find this to be a challenging and stimulating role and believe ithas developed my confidence immensely. As well as carrying out the normal dutiesof a prefect, such as supervising younger students, I must lead and manage theother prefects. My role involves arranging rotas, organising after school eventssuch as the Year 7 social and parent's evenings and public speaking as well asother responsibilities, which have developed my communication, organisation andleadership skills immensely. The role requires a lot of commitment, but it hashelped to improve my time management, as I try to strike a balance between itand school work, which is my main priority. I have also been selected to competein the Physics Olympiad and have been entered for the Biology AdvancedExtension.
During my time at university I hope to gain a good degree, which will standme in good stead for when I enter the world of work. I would like to continue myeducation in a place where I can thrive both academically and socially, andwhere I can put my determination and motivation into good use. Thank you.

2. 網(wǎng)上提交申請(qǐng)材料
確定學(xué)校后就可以在提交申請(qǐng)材料,學(xué)校的通常都會(huì)有完善的申請(qǐng)流程,按照提示和要求來就好。學(xué)校收到遞交材料后如果有不完善的地方仍然會(huì)通過郵件形式與家長溝通,所以記得時(shí)常看看郵箱以及垃圾郵件箱。
3. 等待面試通知
從申請(qǐng)到收到面試通知這個(gè)過程會(huì)比較漫長,至少一個(gè)月,兩個(gè)月也完全有可能。

參加學(xué)校面試后,不會(huì)立馬有結(jié)果,通常等上一個(gè)月兩個(gè)月都很正常。所以建議你至少提前半年開始辦理申請(qǐng)。泰國開學(xué)時(shí)間一般都在八月份,一個(gè)學(xué)年分四個(gè)學(xué)期,平均兩個(gè)月為一學(xué)期。
5. 交建校費(fèi)和學(xué)費(fèi)并保留收費(fèi)單

I learned to respectthese qualities from my father, a Lebanese immigrant who worked for years tocreate his own business. Through his example, I have seen firsthand theadvantages and challenges of self-employment--the rewards to be gained and thetotal commitment required. My goal is to create a business based on my own ideasand efforts, and have made decisions aimed at bringing this dream into fruition.After graduating from college, I accepted a position as the manager of anestablished German restaurant in San Francisco. I had been the evening managerthere for nearly two years while attending college, and knew that the restaurantwas struggling. For several years, high overhead costs and poor marketing hadbrought revenue to a minimum. I saw the position as an intriguing challenge; Iknew I could dramatically increase the restaurant’ s profitability. Immediatelyafter accepting the position in July of 1995,I addressed the most significantproblem: high overhead from over staffing, food waste, and unnecessary purchasesof supplies. I lowered each of these expenses while maintaining the restaurant’s quality and efficiency. My next target was marketing. Inexpensiveadvertisement in local newspapers, attractive signage, and Internet postingsbrought in many new customers. In the meantime, I took control of theaccounting, eliminating the need for independent help. The increased revenue anddecreased spending had an immediate effect. At the end of 1996, the restaurantreported a profit for the first time in six years. I remained with the businessuntil it was sold in 1997, monitoring these changes in order to provide lastingimprovement. Although the position made me realize that the restaurant businessdid not appeal to me, those two years reaffirmed my desire to operate my ownbusiness. I had not abandoned my education during that time; while working atthe restaurant, I had taken real estate courses in the evening and passed theCalifornia State Broker exam in . My brother and I launched our own propertymanagement company in April of 1996,and it quickly grew. We currently have sevencommercial properties under management. Our responsibilities include leasing,accounting, and property maintenance. 一、準(zhǔn)備英語考試
英語是一門交流工具,英聯(lián)邦國家像英國。澳大利亞等,需考雅思(IELTS)。北美國家像美國。加拿大考托福(TOEFL)。如果去美國讀研,加考GRE.念MBA,考GMAT.去英聯(lián)邦國家雅思一項(xiàng)就夠了。考英語考試是需要重點(diǎn)準(zhǔn)備的,也是招生辦最看重的,最信的材料。
二、申請(qǐng)大學(xué)
這和申請(qǐng)哪國家相對(duì)應(yīng),一般最先決定去哪個(gè)國家。這涉及到準(zhǔn)備何種英語。申請(qǐng)大學(xué)與專業(yè)。大學(xué)申請(qǐng)根據(jù)自身?xiàng)l件分幾個(gè)梯度。好的,與自己現(xiàn)狀對(duì)稱的。保底的三檔,一共申請(qǐng)5~6所,然后先擇其中一所自己認(rèn)為比較好的大學(xué),然后先擇專業(yè)。一般與自己背景一致或相關(guān)背景,也有的專業(yè)不需背景。如:MBA.MSC.教育學(xué)。社會(huì)學(xué)。亞洲研究等。在英語準(zhǔn)備的過程可以和不同學(xué)校聯(lián)系,發(fā)郵件,了解清楚后申請(qǐng)大學(xué)。英語成績沒出來也可以申請(qǐng)。跟學(xué)校說你大概能考多少,學(xué)校會(huì)給你有條件的錄取,當(dāng)去學(xué)校的時(shí)候,你把offer與英語成績一起給招生辦就可以了。
三、申請(qǐng)簽證
出國留學(xué)簽證就是在一個(gè)人所持的護(hù)照或旅行證件上簽注(蓋章),或貼上一張標(biāo)簽,蓋章或標(biāo)簽帶有清晰的說明文字,指明持有人進(jìn)入該國的事由、允許停留的時(shí)間、或通過其領(lǐng)土前往其他國家的許可。一個(gè)人如果想出國旅行、定居或者留學(xué)、結(jié)婚等,除了需要持有護(hù)照以外,還應(yīng)該持有相應(yīng)的簽證。護(hù)照是持有者的國籍和身份證明,簽證則是主權(quán)國家準(zhǔn)許外國公民或者本國公民出入境或者經(jīng)過國境的許可證明。簽證一般都簽注在護(hù)照上,也有的簽注在代替護(hù)照的其他旅行證件上,有的還頒發(fā)另紙簽證。如美國和加拿大的移民簽證是一張A4大的紙張,新加坡對(duì)外國人也發(fā)一種另紙簽證,簽證一般來說須與護(hù)照同時(shí)使用,方有效力。對(duì)外國人,一般均是根據(jù)申請(qǐng)者的身份和入境目的發(fā)給不同的入境簽證,如旅游、探親、移民、留學(xué)、工作等簽證,并限制入境后的居留時(shí)間。因簽證種類不同,要求提供的有關(guān)材料也不一樣。一般對(duì)以短期居留為目的的申請(qǐng)限制較少,等待批準(zhǔn)的時(shí)間也較短。對(duì)以長期居留為目的,申請(qǐng)則限制較多,待批的時(shí)間也較長。一個(gè)國家沒有允許外國人無條件入境的義務(wù)(有條約者除外),一個(gè)外國人也沒有要求一國政府允許他入境的權(quán)利。一個(gè)主權(quán)國家對(duì)外國人入境永遠(yuǎn)是有條件限制的。近些年來,隨著國際貿(mào)易、國際政治關(guān)系的發(fā)展,旅游業(yè)的興旺,許多國家的簽證規(guī)定趨于簡化。各國之間也有互免簽證或簡化簽證手續(xù)的協(xié)議。
簽證的有效期,是指從簽證簽發(fā)之日起到以后的一段時(shí)間內(nèi)準(zhǔn)許入境,超過這一期限,該簽證就是無效簽證。一般國家發(fā)給3個(gè)月有效的入境簽證,也有的國家發(fā)給1個(gè)月有效的入境簽證。有的國家對(duì)簽證有效期限制很嚴(yán),如德國只按申請(qǐng)日期發(fā)放簽證。過境簽證約有效期一般都比較短。
簽證的停留期,是指持證人入境該國后準(zhǔn)許停留的時(shí)間。它與簽證有效期的區(qū)別,在于簽證的有效期是指簽證的使用期限,即在規(guī)定的時(shí)間內(nèi)持證人可出入或經(jīng)過該國。如某國的人、出境簽證有效期為3個(gè)月,停留期為l5天,那么,這個(gè)簽證從簽發(fā)日始3個(gè)月內(nèi)無論哪一天都可以入、出該國國境,但是,從入境當(dāng)日起,到出境當(dāng)日止,持證人在該國只能停留15天。有的國家簽發(fā)必須在3個(gè)月之內(nèi)入境,而入境后的`停留期為1個(gè)月;有的國家簽證入境期限和停留期是一致的。如美國訪問簽證的有效期和停留期都是3個(gè)月,即在3個(gè)月內(nèi)入境方為有效,入境后也只能停留3個(gè)月。簽證有效期一般為1個(gè)月或者3個(gè)月;最長的一般為半年或者1年以上,如就業(yè)和留學(xué)簽證;最短的為3天或者7天,如過境簽證。
工作簽證,是指申請(qǐng)國國籍之外的申請(qǐng)人及外籍人士向申請(qǐng)國使館申請(qǐng)的,并且是受雇于申請(qǐng)國認(rèn)證的正規(guī)機(jī)構(gòu)。工作簽證是可以進(jìn)入申請(qǐng)國國境之內(nèi)進(jìn)行工作的許可證,這是有法律效力的,非移民性質(zhì)的證件。如果是留學(xué)生,畢業(yè)后不同的國別申請(qǐng)的工作簽證類型也不一樣。英國留學(xué)生畢業(yè)后只能申請(qǐng)三類工作簽證:即第二層級(jí)簽證、第五層級(jí)臨時(shí)工作簽證和第一層級(jí)(畢業(yè)生創(chuàng)業(yè)者)簽證。
有效次數(shù),簽證除了有效期、停留期之外,還規(guī)定有效次數(shù)。一般分為一次有效簽證、兩次和多次有效簽證等。簽證的有效次數(shù)是指該簽證在有效期內(nèi),使用一次就失效。兩次有效簽證,即在簽證有效期內(nèi)可以使用兩次。多次有效簽證,即在簽證有效期內(nèi)持照人可以多次出、入其國境。例如澳大利亞、印度的旅游簽證有的是在3個(gè)月或者6個(gè)月內(nèi)允許多次入出境。有些國家受雇簽證也是多次入境有效。當(dāng)然簽發(fā)何種簽證,有效期限多長,有效次數(shù)多少,簽證機(jī)關(guān)是根據(jù)入境申請(qǐng)者的具體情況決定的。

五、體檢和換匯
到某國家指定的檢疫所體檢,到中國銀行換匯,帶上錄取通知書,上面會(huì)說明你要換多少錢。

七、乘機(jī)
沒有乘機(jī)經(jīng)歷的,可提前到機(jī)場(chǎng)二。三小時(shí),問機(jī)場(chǎng)工作人員,他們很友好的。
八、找國際辦公室

I am interested in the field of study of Organizational Behavior. In thepast, I have had the experience of working in settings where the people and thecorporate cultures of the companies were all different. Onesimple example is that of the ability of an employee to act independentlywithout direct instructions from his or her boss. In many Chinese organizations,acting without direct instructions is considered a form of disrespect towardsthe supervisor, who is generally offended by such behavior. In my experience andresearch, such organizations tend to have low operating efficiency with theemployees losing their innate ability to take the initiative.
I am a person keen on thinking and experiencing. My lively character andvigorous energy have made me very active in extracurricular events in which Ihave sought an all-round personal development. Sociology Studies will provide mewith the kind of constant real life thinking I have always craved, while helpingme to improve my analytical, practical & communication skills. My mother believes that I should go for Finance studies, while I clearlyknow that my interest has never been in the Mathematical formulas and numbers, Ialways find the diversities of societies, people, beliefs, cultures and the waypeople interacting together very fascinating. So, during this summer, mythoughts kept returning on why I worked so unsuccessfully towards studyingfinance and economics as my mother expected? And how can I truly become my ownmaster by progressing a BA that I really like to engage more research and enrichmyself with? How did all the cultural and beliefs affecting the way we actingthe roles in the community? In which way an individual could actually build upand refine his/her identities?
In pursuing a Sociology degree, I seek answers to these questions. Athorough examination of the Sociology behind human behaves could reveal thebeliefs,values and identities; it enables us to exam and understand ourselvesbetter. While knowledge of Sociology will certainly benefit the social servicesproviding, I also maintain a passion for Culture Studies for that same reason.Cultural behaviour study appeals to me because it tells us why we act in acertain way - under a cultural atmosphere. Also for being in the UK for 3 years,the knowledge about the outside world has given me a unique and balancedperspective to examine the reality of Chinese society too. In this historicalepoch in which China is becoming closely integrated into the internationalcommunity and playing an influence role in the world arena, I wish to gaininsights into our society in its socio-culture aspects and to study how Chineseculture can respond to the globalization process.
By combining these thoughts into a good BA in Sociology degree programme, Ican pursue my professional goal of doing education and community service workfor the government and perhaps focusing in promote public welfare. My experiencein the past in social practices has not only equipped me with an intellectualfoundation for my future studies but has also supplied me with my career plans.In my eyes, China's several thousand years of history has given rise to thedeep-entrenched rule by man instead of rule by law and nature. In dealing withsuch issues like economic development, poverty elimination and the promotion oflaw, the framing and application of government policies seem to play a greaterrole. Therefore, it is obvious that to contribute to public welfare and tonational development, it is more realistic and useful to become a well-trainedand well-qualified public administrator. In this lies the motivation of myapplication for an undergraduate programme in sociology at your esteemeddepartment.
WanSheng High School where I was studying is a key provincial high schoolthat attracts best students from every part of the province. In fierce academiccompetitions, I have managed to remain top-ten in my high school academicperformance and was recommended by the school to Highbury College,Portsmouth tostudy my foundation course.
