其次練好基本功是學(xué)好英語的必要條件，沒有扎實的英語基礎(chǔ)，就談不上繼續(xù)學(xué)習(xí)，更談不上有所成就。要想基本功扎實，必須全神貫注地認(rèn)真聽講，上好每一節(jié)課，提高課堂效率。因此我們應(yīng)該做到以下“五到”：
一、“心到”。在課堂上應(yīng)聚精會神，一刻也不能懈怠，大腦要始終處于積極狀態(tài)，思維要活躍、思路要開闊，心隨老師走，聽懂每一句話，抓住每一個環(huán)節(jié)，理解每一個知識點，多聯(lián)想、多思考，做到心領(lǐng)神會。
二、“手到”。學(xué)英語，一定要做課堂筆記。因為人的記憶力是有限的，人不可能都過目不忘，記憶本身就是不斷與遺忘作斗爭的過程。常言說，“好記憶不如爛筆頭”。老師講的知識可能在課堂上記住了，可是過了一段時間，就會忘記，所以，做好筆記很有必要。英語知識也是一點點積累起來的，學(xué)到的每一個單詞、詞組以及句型結(jié)構(gòu)，都記在筆記本上，甚至是書空白處或字里行間，這對以后的復(fù)習(xí)鞏固都是非常方便的。
三、“耳到”。在課堂上，認(rèn)真聽講是十分必要的，不但要專心聽老師對知識的講解，而且要認(rèn)真聽老師說英語的語音、語調(diào)、重音、連讀、失去爆破、斷句等發(fā)音要領(lǐng)，以便培養(yǎng)自己純正地道的英語口語。聽見聽懂老師傳授的每一個知識點，在頭腦里形成反饋以幫助記憶；理解領(lǐng)會老師提出的問題，以便迅速作答，對比同學(xué)對問題的回答，以加深對問題的理解而取別人之長補自己之短。
四、“眼到”。在認(rèn)真聽講的同時，還要雙眼緊隨老師觀察老師的動作、口形、表情、板書、繪圖、教具展示等。大腦里形成的視覺信息和聽覺信息相結(jié)合，印象就會更加深刻。

I am losing friends left and right, well, actually, only left. Some friendships, however, have been strengthened during this election.
When I was 6, I learned a song: "Make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the other's gold." Even as a child, I was a born raconteur, so I always had lots of friends. But, by the time I got to fourth grade, I was already getting into political brawls. Early on, I began living my politically active mother's joke, "My name, it opens some doors and closes others."
I learned to tone it down a bit by the time I got to college. As a theater major, it was fun in an acting class one day, when we each had to pretend to be another student. I chose to mimic a beautiful petite girl with long dark hair. She was my polar opposite, this former cheerleader-turned-hippie-princess named Michelle. She got a kick out of my impression of her. I thought it was cool that she could laugh at herself. We began a friendship that has brought us to the present day.
Yet we were always opposites. I am Roman Catholic, she is Jewish. I am tall, she is short. One rainy afternoon on campus, Michelle insisted on carrying the umbrella for both of us, (I don't think I stood up straight until the next day!)
Back then, she was as passionate a Democrat as I was a Republican. However, my friend and I still had something in common that was more important than all the differences. We shared the same values and they showed up in a dozen little ways. That is why we are friends almost 30 years later. Furthermore, she had been moving in my direction politically before, but Sept. 11, 20xx, brought us to a new level of communication. We have bonded even more during this election.
Sadly, I also have re-evaluated some other friendships as tensions increased due to the Kerry-Edwards demagoguery. This is the first time in memory that I've even been appalled by both spouses of the Democratic ticket. I rather liked Tipper Gore and Hadassa Lieberman. I thought they were sweet. And that's the way I used to feel about my liberal pals. But, now a Teresa Heinz-Kerry-like irrationality/Elizabeth Edwards snotty innuendo has infected some of them -- and it makes them unpleasant to be around.
This election may leave those friendships in its wake. The outlook is definitely not good for their Christmas card inclusion.
Sept. 11, Iraq, the demonization of Israel by Kerry's European fans, the beheadings -- all of the latter just doesn't seem to change the '90s mentality of those I know who are voting for the Democratic Party ticket. Like Kerry, they still seem to consider the United States' life-and-death struggle a nuisance. These liberal friends of mine are certainly not bad people, but deep down, they still don't get that we are at war with a greater evil than any of us has ever known. Combined with the extremism culturally on the left, these people are becoming more than a nuisance themselves.
The sobering fact is that these friendships are just too taxing (in both senses of that word). Those relationships have become like old prom dresses in that they just don't fit anymore. There comes a point where some associations can become a fire hazard in one's closet. It may be time to do spring cleaning, even if the season is autumn.
Sure, friends can't agree on everything, nor are they supposed to but though I may think someone's a nice person, fun, etc., increasingly deep differences in our world view can't be ignored in these frightening times.
Three decades later, Michelle is no longer the shorter-than-me actress who insisted on carrying the umbrella as we walked to class, though she is still shorter than me. But she and I easily walk together under an umbrella of shared concerns. A few weeks ago we sat side by side at a most moving event celebrating Jewish and Christian support of Israel and each other.
Yet, we still live very different lives. My college friend has been married for 25 years to the love of her life, the mother of three and an executive in an entertainment corporation. And meanwhile her single free-lancing writer/actress friend, even after all these years still does impressions of her only in print now.
Happily, others have also come along to become comrades in arms this election. They represent a diversity in lifestyle that would warm any liberal's heart (although said liberal wouldn't warm our hearts). There's Genie the stockbroker, Cathy the casting director, Robin the mom of one of my former acting students, Sally the daughter of one of my mother's old friends and many others. Their e-mail messages and calls let me know that though other friendships may wither during this election, I'm hardly alone. They all have a point of view that enables us to skip to shorthand. ("Did you read Drudge?" "Yep!") All of these women make up my own personal non-elitist version of "The View, The Conservative Cut."
Yes, now those old children's lyrics resonate with a new meaning in "Make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the other is gold." Regretfully, without shared values even after this tumultuous election of 20xx, some friendships may have turned to a tin that rings hollow in these perilous times.
By the way, I recently chatted with one of those former Brownies who sang with me so long ago, She is a "security mom." She is voting for George W. Bush and she will definitely be included on my Christmas card list.

However， I think marks are the sole standard to judge the success orfailure of students in exams. Sometimes， marks more than ten or less than one ortwo in our exams comparing with others mean not everything. But his teaching result is much lessthan that of the one who just graduated from a not-well-renowned college. Whenlecturing， the teacher only repeated what the text-books says， which was verydull so the his students’ interest in learning was not aroused. His teaching wasshort of unity of teaching and learning. At present there is a fact that we knowa few brilliant and top college graduates are not qualified for their posts. Thereason for it may be lack of the ability to combine knowledge learnt from bookswith pragmatics in their work. Students of this kind will be successful in everyexam but they will be able to use freely their knowledge in their posts. Don’tyou think it waste training such persons for the country?
To sum up from the above， I can say marks are not absolutely authoritativefor some. If we neglect training and developing the students’ ability andcompetence and if we only seek for the high marks， we will be absolutely wrong.We should take an objective attitude towards the marks. Neither should weneglect them nor should we overvalue them like a God.

There are more than 400 cities poor with water in China. Millions of people don’t have enough water for drinking, many of them die because of lack of water . There are many big factories in China. They put the dirty and poisonous water in the river, such as the Yellow River, the Chang Jiang River, the Yangtze River and so on. It pollutes the river and makes people have many strange diseases. Many people don’t know how important the water is. They often think: I pay for the water I used, it’s none of others business. How foolish and how selfish the thought is. They don’t turn off the tap when they finish washing their hands in the public toilet because the water is free-paying. Most of the students in the university use big basins of water to wash fruits . Because they have paid a lot for the room fee. Some of the middle school students use the water for drinking to play jokes on others just for fun. But who has thought about our life in the future? Who has thought about the people without water? Who has thought about the future of the world?
Why don’t people know how to save it until we have lost it? Why don’t people know how important the water is until the last drop of water becomes our tears? Let’s save the water, for you, for me , for the future.
Reuse the water which you wash the fruits to clean the toilets. Reuse the water which you wash your face to clean the floor and furniture. Reuse the water which you wash the rice to water the flowers. I think it’s the good way to save water. It not only saves water but also saves money.
The water is just like our blood. To save water is to save our lives. Let’s keep every drop of water, for the people who don’t have enough water for drinking, for ourselves, for our children and children’s children。

What Caused The Financial Crisis? I think we can sum up the cause of our current economic crisis in one word — GREED. Over the years, mortgage lenders were happy to lend money to people who couldn’t afford their mortgages. But they did it anyway because there was nothing to lose.
These lenders were able to charge higher interest rates and make more money on sub-prime loans. If the borrowers default, they simply seized the house and put it back on the market. On top of that, they were able to pass the risk off to mortgage insurer or package these mortgages as mortgage-backed securities.
Easy money! and what went wrong with our financial system? The whole thing was one big scheme. Everything was great when houses were selling like hot cakes and their values go up every month. Lenders made it easier to borrow money, and the higher demand drove up house values. Higher house values means that lenders could lend out even bigger mortgages, and it also gave lenders some protection against foreclosures. All of this translates into more money for the lenders, insurers, and investors.
Unfortunately, many borrowers got slammed when their adjustable mortgage finally adjusted. When too many of them couldn’t afford to make their payments, it causes these lenders to suffer from liquidity issue and to sit on more foreclosures than they could sell. Mortgage-backed securities became more risky and worth less causing investment firms like Lehman Brothers to suffer. Moreover, insurers like AIG who insured these bad mortgages also got in trouble. The scheme worked well, but it reverses course and is now coming back to hurt everyone

I was just a shy and little girl that time. all the things seemed fresh to me: new faces, large library and physics lab etc. I breathed the air of college greedily, I was curious about everything.The class given by the teachers are excellent.they provide us with information not only from our textbook but from other sources as well.I actively involved in student union and varies of association. But soon I realized that I do not make full use of my spare time ,so I got a part-time job to help a junior student with math lessons Besides,I also took part in activities concerning public welfare. We taught the kids there who could not afford school, I was deeply touched by their eagerness to learn, The precious experience with the poor kids made me aware of the responsibility on the shoulders of us--future teachers. The enrichment of experience taught me the significance of modesty,responsibility,tolerance,and perseverance.
And now I have been here two years. recalling to the two years, I think I have to talk about one thing--learning. learn how to study independently, learn how to get along with others, learn to love, learn to… oh, there are too much things we have to learn.
Comparing with senior high school, college is a rather different place. there aren’t so many people to watch you and guide you how to do something any more, neither are there so many students who share with you one dream. in college, you must think and study yourself, so you have to learn and practice to control yourself.
Another relationship in college is friendship. my roommates have lived two years with me. in these years, they forgive my faults, cry with me, laugh with me, play with me… they always stand with me and support me, I have learned a lot from them. I love them all and treasure the friendship with them.
