FOLLOW YOUR OWN COURSE

Dont listen to those who say,
“Its not done that way.”
Maybe its not, but maybe you will.
Dont listen to those who say,
“Youre taking too big a chance.”
Michelangelo would have painted the Sistine Floor,
and it would surely be rubbed out by today.
Most importantly, dont listen
When the little voice of fear inside of you
rear its ugly head and says,
“Theyre all smarter than you out there.
Theyre more talented,
Theyre taller, blonder, prettier, luckier and have connections...”
I firmly believe that if you follow a path that interests you,
Not to the exclusion of love, sensitivity, and cooperation with others,
But with the strength of conviction
That you can move others by your own efforts,
And do not make success or failure the criteria by which you live,
The chances are youll be a person worthy of your own respect.

“這事不能那么做。”
也許是不能那么做，可是也許你就會(huì)那么做。
別聽(tīng)那些人的話，
“你這個(gè)險(xiǎn)冒得太大了。”
米開朗琪羅可能在西斯廷教堂的地板上作過(guò)畫，
到今天肯定已經(jīng)被抹掉了。
最重要的是，
當(dāng)你心中恐懼的聲音，
抬起它丑陋的頭說(shuō)，
“那邊那些人都比你聰明，
他們更有才華，
他們更高大、皮膚更白、更漂亮、更幸運(yùn)，
并且認(rèn)識(shí)各種各樣的人…”
你可千萬(wàn)別理會(huì)。
我堅(jiān)信只要選擇一條你感興趣的路，
不排除愛(ài)情、敏銳以及與別人的合作，
而是堅(jiān)定地認(rèn)為，
通過(guò)你自身的努力能夠感動(dòng)他人，
不把成功或者失敗作為你生活的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，
那么你就可能成為值得自己敬佩的人。
